    Prompted free-writing, story games, reading aloud, and good conversations over tea and snacks. It’s a relaxed space for kids who love stories, or are just discovering they do. Drop-in for a class or join for all. Ages 6+

    Tiny Crafts
    $45, all supplies included
    Making a new miniature every week, like clay charms, terrariums, resin keychains, and other tiny things with big personality. Each session is its own complete project, so kids can join anytime and take home something adorable every time. Ages 6+

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Ages 6 and up, with the majority between 7 and 11. Have an older preteen or teen? Reach out with your availability and we’ll coordinate with other families to get kids their age together, or bring a friend! Creative teens really enjoy the makerspace.

  • Yes. We’re an approved Step Up provider and accept PEP and UAS direct pay, so you can use your scholarship funds directly with us. New to Step Up or not sure how direct pay works? We’ll guide you through it.

  • Either one. You’re always welcome to stay and watch, especially at first. Fair warning though, once kids get going, most parents quietly realize they’ve got time to themselves.

  • Kids are supervised at all times, the door stays locked during sessions, and the studio has security cameras. Our staff is hand-picked and Level 2 background checked, and we’re registered with DCF and licensed by the City of Margate.

  • No, you book only the days that work for your family, and there’s an hourly option if a full session is more than you need. That said, kids who come regularly get the most out of it, since the friendships are half the magic.

  • A mix of making and socializing. Kids dive into craft projects in the studio, painting, jewelry, woodworking and more, with monthly themes, group discussions, and shared projects woven in. Between projects there’s room to play a board game, grab a book, or just hang out, and that’s where a lot of the friendships happen.

  • A creative studio stocked with tools and materials for hands-on making. Ours is built for kids, so alongside the project tables there are games, books, and music for the in-between moments.

  • Each class and homeschool day is priced individually, listed right in the schedule above. Open studio time is $22 for the first hour and $14 each hour after. Step Up for Students scholarship funds cover it all through PEP and UAS direct pay.
